Today, the vast majority of countries point towards a common concept and model, globalization. This term refers to the close social, political, economic, technological, environmental, academic and cultural connection, countries are increasingly seeking global interconnection and support. A very clear example of this goal towards globalization is the United Nations, whose objective is the contextualization of conflicts or situations in each country and mutual support between nations.

The world's interconnection

Assertive communication is a very important factor in capturing information and/or giving information, especially when talking about situations in different fields and with a specific audience or group of people.

As already mentioned, the world is going through a time of constant and accelerated change, which brings us more in contact with people and cultures from other countries. It is also important to remember that we do not all speak or communicate in the same way. There are more than 6,000 languages in the world, among the most recognized are English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese... and these are just a few of the many that exist.

Why is it important to learn more languages?

The mother tongue is the one that welcomed us when we arrived to this world and the one that will most likely remain until the date of our death, and in previous decades it was only necessary to know and know your mother tongue to be successful in personal and professional growth. Nowadays, in a more interconnected world, it is starting to be necessary to know more languages, since, unlike in the past decades, now with social networks your skills can become vacancies to work abroad, and in most cases, with a better pay..

Even leaving aside the professional part, something that characterizes most of us is the taste for traveling and getting to know new parts of the world. Relations with people from abroad are getting closer and closer and we are forced to know their language in order to get closer to their culture.

In the words of the United Nations General Assembly,"Multilingualism, an essential factor in harmonious communication among peoples and a facilitator of multilateral diplomacy, is of particular importance to the United Nations. While fostering dialogue, tolerance and understanding, multilingualism ensures the effective participation of all in the work of the Organization, as well as greater transparency and efficiency and better results."
